Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechatronic Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our products. The ideal candidate will work at the crucial interface between mechanics and electronics, using their expertise to enhance the automation of our platform and add new functionalities.

Key Activities & Responsibilities
• Concept design and development of new solutions, balancing both electronic and mechanical requirements;
• Hardware control with microcontrollers;
• Enhance automation capabilities of our products, focusing on efficient design and integration of both plastic and metal parts;
• Develop and refine firmware and software to control automation processes, such as controlling motorized stages and mechanical parts;
• Create detailed drawings or/and implement changes to existing designs;
• Select proper components according to manufacturer’s instruction and good practice;
• Create and store drawings and 3D models electronically in the appropriate company cloud storage;
• Assembling, testing and debugging of prototypes according to customer’s feedback;
Requirements
• Applicants must already possess an Italian working permit prior to the job application.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree/PhD in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field;
• Experience with product development in an R&D or production environment, ideally within biomedical devices or related technology;
• Proficiency in automation technologies, with a focus on mechanical-electronic integration, and 3D modelling software for part design and analysis;
• Basic programming skills for firmware development and integration with electronics (e.g., C++, Python);
• Experience with laser optics and optical microscopy is a plus;
• Good knowledge of the English language;
• Good communication skills, aptitude for teamwork and problem solving;
