Position Overview
We are seeking a Sales Specialist to join our team and contribute to the business development of our company and products. He/she will expand our leads and customers’ pool in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of science and business, driving the adoption of innovative solutions that improve global life science and biotechnology.

Key Activities & Responsibilities:
The main goal of this position is to turn quote requests into purchase orders. This will involve direct communication with customers through email and phone calls in order to build relationships and effectively represent the organization. The candidate will be expected to understand and explain the features, benefits, and applications of the company’s products. The ideal candidate for this role will be dynamic, skilled at working with people, and focused on sales. Main responsibilities will be:
- Development and execution of sales plans to identify, engage, and close new business opportunities, by identifying and prospect new sales opportunities in pharmaceutical companies, contract research organizations (CROs), and academic institutions globally;
- Development of a CRM platform;
- Development of long-term relationships with customers and potential customers in person, to allow product and service information to be communicated and strategic information to be gathered. Face-to-face meetings will be required;
- Customer/prospect recording together with the relevant mailing list and database within the CRM platform;
- Collaboration with internal R&D team to tailor solutions that meet client needs and ensure customer satisfaction providing feedback from customers to influence product development and improvement.
- Attending at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to generate leads and build brand awareness.
Required skills
- Applicants must already possess an Italian working permit prior to the job application.
- Master’s Degree in Life Science, Biomedical Engineering, Biophysics or related field;
- 2+ years of experience in sales within the biotechnology, life science or medical devices industries;
- Basic understanding of in vitro cardiac electrophysiology, MEAs technologies and safety pharmacology;
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English;
- Based in Genoa, with availability to travel abroad up to 30% of the time.
